The Bulls of Arles

The first of our destinations is Arles, a UNESCO world heritage site. We are here for four nights, staying in a lovely VRBO apartment just outside of the vieille ville (old town). We will put up a few posts about our experiences here, not necessarily in chronological order. Today’s post is just a quick gallery of videos taken at the “Arrivado”, the ceremonial arrival of the bulls in Arles, accompanied by the Guardians, the Camargue Cowboys, on their unique Camargue horses, for the semi-annual Feria. The Feria de Pâques is held in the spring to celebrate Easter. We are here for the September Feria du Riz, which celebrates the rice harvest. The Feria is a festival of music, equestrian arts, food, and Spanish-style bullfights, called Corrida. The videos are self-explanatory!
